Conditions associated with condylar resorption:

(1) osteoarthritis

(2) reactive arthritis

(3) avascular necrosis

(4) infection

(5) trauma

(6) rheumatoid arthritis (RA)

(7) psoriatic arthritis

(8) scleroderma

(9) systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)

(10) Sjogren’s syndrome

(11) ankylosing spondylitis

(12) other autoimmune disorders

(13) idiopathic (“cheerleader’s syndrome”)
