The Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) is a complication of exogenous gonadotropin therapy given to induce ovulation. A similar reaction from endogenous gonadotropins is hyperrectio luteinalis. The syndrome can be clinically graded based on the signs and symptoms.

where:
• Thromboembolism is due to hypercoagulability and may be arterial or venous. It may be due to high estrogen levels.
