Description

Meyerhoff and Truelson used a modification of the classification of Wullstein to evaluate patients with cholesteatoma during surgery. This can decide how much surgery is likely to improve a patient's hearing. The authors are from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, Texas.

(2) status of the superstructure of the stapes

(3) status of the incus
