Description

While point of care (POC) testing instruments are designed to be idiot-resistant, there are many sources of user and environmental factors that can affect the accuracy and reliability of the results. Proper instruction, direct observation of use, periodic review of control data and validation of findings by other methods may be necessary to ensure reliable data. A checklist can be used to quickly screen the user for possible problem areas.
