Any collection of people can be hazardous to your health. Certain steps should be taken to avoid being injured at a mass gathering.

DON'T

Be aware of your surroundings.

Be intoxicated or befuddled by illness.

Be prepared to exit if the density of people becomes to great.

Accept being jostled on all sides.

Get away if problems arise by moving away slowly to the periphery of the crowd.

Go with the flow if a crowd starts moving.

Look for signs of effective crowd control.

Attend gatherings that are poorly organized with no planning.

Have a route of escape planned in advance.

Be unaware of potential problems that could impede escape..

 

By the time a danger is obvious it may be too late to escape.
