Disease of the cervix and uterus can result in permanent impairment that can be quantified using the AMA criteria.

Signs and symptoms of cervical or uterine disorder:
(1) abnormal menstruation or noncyclic bleeding
(2) altered fertility
(3) abnormality in pregnancy or labor
(4) cervical stenosis or atresia
(5) cervical dysplasia and/or neoplasia

where:
• I am not sure that premenopausal hysterectomy impairs a woman to the extent stated provided no further children are desired and there are no complications from surgery.
• If urinary or sexual dysfunction occur, then the degree of impairment needs to be combined with the cervical or uterine impairment.
